How to Become a Wedding Planner
Wedding planner it’s one of the most interesting careers available today, even without a degree. A wedding planner performs a number of duties, before the marriage, on the marriage day and even after that. To start with, when a wedding planner is hired, she meets up with the couple, sometimes close family members may be present, and tries to assess the kind of wedding they are looking forward to. The budget, number of invitees, any specific wedding theme they have in mind, some compulsory wedding traditions, all such basics are discussed. If you are still wondering, how do I become a wedding planner, all I can say is, the most important skill to be a wedding planner is to have people skills. You would need various skills, such as the ability to stay calm in pressure situations, good organizational and planning capabilities, interpersonal and networking skills, communication and listening skills as well as ability to think creatively so that the wedding can be planned in the most aesthetic and appealing manner. The first step when you plan to start any career is to talk to people who are in the same profession. This will give you a rough idea about the whole career. Or you can work with a wedding planner who is already established or you can start your own firm. If you wish to get some hands on experience, before you set up your own firm, look for wedding planner jobs. Pick up a job in a small firm, to learn more and get real insight of what happens behind the scenes.

Christmas Themed Wedding Tips
I must say that Christmas weddings are the most romantic of weddings conducted in other seasons of the year. And if you are lucky enough to have a white Christmas wedding, your small nuptial affair will be the talk of town for years to come.
1. Since people make plans for the holidays early, and often have many parties and events to attend at this time of year, you'll want to send your invitations a little bit early, about 12 weeks before the event.
2. The church will already be decorated and you might only need to add your touch to it. You must make contact with the church decorators and ask them in advance how they are going to decorate the church. Points you must ask are - where will the tree be kept, if there is a tree; how will it be decorated; what colors will be used; what will the decorations be on the altar; how will the entrance doors be decorated, etc.
3. As the light emanates from the candle it creates a warm glow that is completely in contrast to the weather outside. Floating candles are my favorite; they add sparkle and light to any occasion and that too with style. So use bowls and fill them with colored water, confetti and artificial flower.

Rustic Wedding Style Idea
What venue suits a heartfelt wedding? If you want to envelop your guests in rustic chic, a country cotillion is the way to go.
A barn calls out for embellishments; a rustic wreath and muslin drapes at the doorway add the appropriate flourishes. For the country equivalent of a plush red carpet, lay down a generous path of straw.
Hot apple and pear ciders served in pewter goblets, accompanied by cinnamon sticks and pumpkin and sugar doughnuts, take the chill off an autumn day.

Thanksgiving Wedding Menu Ideas
Food is the main attraction for Thanksgiving Wedding party. You cannot go wrong with traditional favorites: turkey, red potatoes, corn bread dressing, green beans, and honey-glazed carrots. It's important to have a traditional Thanksgiving turkey roast as one of your menu choices so that people don't feel as though they've missed out on tradition by attending the event. However, also offer another choice such as pork loin roast for those that are happy to get away from traditional fare. But don't serve a traditional Turkey dinner if your wedding is the weekend right after Thanksgiving. Not many people will want to eat more turkey so soon after. If your guest list is small, Consider incorporating your family recipes into your wedding menu and serving the meal family style. Serve a marinated pork roast, mashed potatoes, honey glazed butternut squash, baby carrots, green beans, soup in a hollowed pumpkin, warm apple cider, pumpkin pie or apple pie, to round out the Thanksgiving feast, serve a pumpkin cake or even a tiered pumkin pie.

German Wedding Traditions
German wedding traditions are fun and usually last for a whole of three days and they are older than Christianity. Have a look and decide which ones you would like to include in your wedding.
Before the Wedding Ceremony
Three days prior to the church wedding, the couple marries in the Registry Office, the Standesamt. Witnesses are required, and only family and close friends generally attend. A church wedding follows, but it is not legally binding. At the church wedding, the couple proceeds down the aisle together. Brides might carry salt and bread, signifying a good harvest, in lieu of flowers. It is possible that the groom will carry grain, which symbolizes wealth. After exiting the church, the bride and groom saw a log in half. This shows that they are prepared to handle the tough times they might face.
The Ceremony
First, German couples who are getting married must have a civil ceremony at the city center, which only family and close friends attend. The next night is the big wedding party. The bride and groom invite all of their friends, neighbors and acquaintances.German wedding tradition says it's good luck for guests to bring old dishes to break. The newlyweds then sweep up the broken pieces together, symbolizing that nothing will ever be broken in their house again. On the third day, the German religious wedding ceremony takes place. German brides do not have traditional wedding attendants except for flower girls. e bride wears a traditional floral wreath, decorated with jewels and beads, which is worn until midnight. If the bride is a first-time bride, she carries a bouquet made of myrtle. She wears a white gown that has been worn for generations and passed down. •While the ceremony is conducted, the bride and groom hold candles in their hands that are decorated with flowers and ribbons. German wedding cakes are large with many ornaments. The first dance is danced by the bride and groom. Traditionally, a waltz is played. Next, the bride dances with her father and the groom with his mother. Meanwhile, the bride's mother and the groom's father dance together. German receptions often last until the wee hours of the morning.
After the Ceremony
Immediately after the ceremony, as the bride and the groom leave the church, they are faced with a heavy log placed on two sawhorses. They must saw their way through, to be able to get out of the church. They are given a whipsaw that is old and rusty, and that is pulled on either side which means they have to work together. This is a symbol of the couple's necessity to solve all problems that they may face ahead, together. This tradition is known as the Sägen. After the wedding ceremony, a luncheon is hosted by the bride's parents either at their residence or at a hotel. This continues right into the evening with an informal buffet followed by a party.

‘DC Cupcakes’ Star Katherine Kallinis Gets Married
On September 17, 2011, the Georgetown Cupcake co-owner married Ben Berman at one of our favorite wedding spots ever, The San Ysidro Ranch, in Montecito, California. Besides the Vera Wang strapless Chantilly lace and French tulle wedding gown, the most amazing thing in the wedding is the wedding cake. It is a nine-foot tall wedding cupcake tower made of 5,000 cupcakes by Sophie, all a surprise for Katherine. And at the end of the evening, each guest was given a Meyer lemon cupcake with a hand-tied card attached that read “Sweet Dreams.”

Tips for Bridesmaids Jewelry
Few people pay more attention to the bridesmaid jewelry. In my opinion, choosing bridesmaid jewelry is not so simple and you should spend more time in your bridesmaids for they will make you wedding more funny and moved and they all your good friends or relatives.
1. Bracelets make all the dress styles look great. If you are planning to make your bridesmaids wear long, plain gloves, then tennis bracelet can be an option.
2. Almost all styles of necklaces look great with scoop or sweetheart necklines. Halter dresses need not be teamed up with necklaces. V-neck dresses are best coupled with a y-drop, lariat, or a back-dangle. The only care that has to be taken while selecting a necklace is that it should end above the fabric of the dress.
3. It should complement and accentuate the beauty of the bride’s jewelry.
4. Last but the most important is the bridesmaids jewelry should complement the theme of the wedding.

Bridal Veil Trends
Bridal veils are inseparable parts of a perfect wedding. Not only for formal wedding dresses, but veils are also preferred by the brides who are having casual, semi formal and beach wedding dresses. Fashion trends for bridal veil change as per the personal likings of the brides and hence you always have more than one option to get confused.
If you are a skilled artsy person, then you yourself can make a cute fascinator with real as well as artificial flowers, laces and beads. If it is a casual wedding or a romantic beach wedding, then you can opt for those slack fascinators that are made out of flowers, beads and feathers. You can purchase fascinators that are made of feathers and beads or feathers and various bridal veil patterns. If you are planning to design your own bridal veil patterns, then it is very important to know more about the bridal veil materials. The most common material for bridal veil patterns is bridal illusion. Silk tulle is one of the most luxurious fabrics of veil materials. Another type of bridal veil pattern material is the English netting. This is very hard to find and few high-end retainers carry veils of this fabric.
If you are going to have a updo hairstyle extension or if you have thick and curly hair and are planning to wear them in an updo, then open headbands are the best type of headpieces for you. Another type of headpiece that you can choose is the traditional Juliet cap. Juliet caps are often chosen by the brides who wear wedding hairstyles for short hair. Though wedding veils come in different styles and length, nowadays short wedding veils are quite popular and preferred by many brides. The main advantage of short wedding veils is that, they can be worn all night long and fits well for a less formal look. Also since they come in a variety of styles like one or two tiers, shimmering sequins, vintage-style lace, etc. a bride can have more options while choosing a veil to complement her wedding dress and give her the most beautiful and elegant look. You can opt for headpieces made of different types of hats. All that you need to do is to play it along with the wedding theme and wedding color.

Wedding Dresses Fashion Trends 2012
An array of sleek silhouettes with peek-a-boo slashes up the center created quite an impact on the bridal fashion runways. The slits give the gowns great movement and let you show off a little leg.
The look is as flirtatious and buoyant as its predecessor but a bit more refined. Plus, now you don't have to hike up your dress all night.
This cut really combines the best of both worlds: short and long, sexy and sweet. With a nod to ready-to-wear, fashion-forward couturiers added this pick-up silhouette in their most recent lines.

Beach Wedding Invitations Ideas
As fine as traditional may be, doing something way out is a tad more fun. That's exactly what destination weddings do for you. Here I want to share some beach wedding invitation ideas with you.
1. Gather information on the types of fish and other marine animals that live in the water where your beach wedding is scheduled to be held. Get some gorgeous photographs of these creatures and use them as the front cover of your invitations.
2. Have the invite in the shape of a big oyster. Use a nice smooth quality paper, in a shade of ivory. This should be an open and close invite. When you open the invite, a pearl should pop out bearing the invitation wordings on it. The front of the card can be covered with a sheer ivory colored fabric or even net.
3. Have your invitation wordings written or printed on tiny pieces of some fancy paper or even sheer fabric. Make sure the print is legible though. Now, roll these tiny invites and tie them up with a golden or silver string. Get yourself a lot of transparent bottles. Now, fill quarter portion of the bottle with clean sand from the beach. You can throw in a shell or two, and a miniature star fish too, to give it more oceanic feel.
4. You can either have the cards shaped in the form of a big shell or a conch and shaded in different colors. Or, you can make a pretty card in the traditional manner and have tiny shells and conches pasted onto them. You can hand pick the shells and conches that you want pasted on the invitations or you can ask someone to simply buy a pack of them at a store.
